Instructor Foundation Course

An Instructor Foundation Course (IFC) was conducted for the club by Stuart Cannon, the Australian BSAC Regional Coach, on the weekend of 27-28 February 2011 to certify new Assistant Diving Instructors (ADIs).  This was largely funded by a generous grant of $1000 from the City of Onkaparinga’s Community Training & Development Fund.

Stuart was assisted by the following instructors from the club - Fran Manning, Gareth Morris & Ang Cogman.  Also, thanks go to Kym & Brigitte Arthur for Stuart’s accommodation & their general assistance with the activity of the IFC.

Finally, congratulations to our 7 new ADIs - Andy Asser, Paul Battersby, Dave Cowan, Geoff Cosgrove, Dave Keene, Don Maynard and Dave Wilson.  As we hope to run an IFC next year, so anyone at Sport Diver grade or higher should start thinking about doing it yourself!
